Why You *NEED* A 'Good Match' Sheet

There comes a time in your business when you truly find your niche, and you can start being selective about who you work with (dream clients YAS). It actually doesn’t even matter what line of business you are in (though typically service-based works best for this resource), once you start to gain experience on the job, you’ll start to see who your ideal client is, and isn’t.

This idea can also be applied to clients looking for service-based businesses - everyone is different, we all have our ways of working, our own style, and clients should choose accordingly.

So I 100% think having something along the lines of ‘Are We A Good Match’ in the form of a quiz, PDF or online form on your website or within your Intro Pack or Welcome messaging can be really helpful, both for you in establishing who you best work with/will benefit from your services, and for your client to know from the get-go whether they are a good match.

TOPS FOR WRITING YOUR ‘ARE WE A GOOD MATCH’ GUIDE

  1. Be honest, but know that it’s hard to get a feel for a client just from a PDF. So try and word it so they know what they are signing up for but know if they don’t tick all the boxes, they still may be a good fit after a good ol’ coffee and chat.

  2. Don’t try to add too many. This is a great checklist to add to your website or onboarding campaign, but it doesn’t need to be a novel, a few sentences per point (or even adjectives like Good Match = passionate, Bad Match = lazy etc etc) is great.
